Two-week journey to benefit NHCH

MEDIA RELEASE

For 20 years, Kona resident and retired travel columnist Irene Croft, Jr., has been orchestrating deluxe worldwide journeys for benefit of more than a dozen Hawaii nonprofits on all islands.

Her volunteer efforts passed this year the $1 million milestone for donations to community organizations in the state. And, now, she has consented to offer an exciting journey as a fundraiser co-sponsored by NHCH.

Click on the “Galapagos and More” PDF button below for information about the two-week journey, Oct. 16-30, 2012, to Ecuador, South America’s most fascinating country.

A highlight will be a seven-night voyage through the Galapagos Archipelago on a deluxe, exclusively chartered motor yacht.

A five-day post-trip option to Peru is offered to explore fabled Machu Picchu, ancient mountain stronghold of the Incas.

Participation is open to all friends and supporters, nationwide, of North Hawaii Community Hospital. The hospital will receive a $500 tax-deductible donation (included in fare) from each person who signs up with Irene and identifies NHCH as the sponsoring organization.

This is a win-win opportunity for the travelers among us — and for our medical center. Think what we can do with your donation to help pay for physician startup costs and to improve the technology, equipment and facilities that enable us to provide award-winning patient care.
