MEDIA RELEASE
Ed Case, candidate for the U.S. Senate, has announced his slate of campaign coordinators.
“This crucial campaign is and will be about grassroots first and always,” Case said. “I promise to represent all of Hawaii as your U.S. Senator, and I’m proud to introduce our all-Hawaii grassroots coordinators.”
Campaign Chair: Lloyd Nekoba (manager@edcase.com)
Lloyd grew up in Pepeekeo on the Big Island, served in the Army and worked as a public school teacher before serving with Lt. Gov. Jean King, Gov. Cayetano and Congressman/Gov. Abercrombie. He’s been involved in more campaigns than anyone can count, and is also my brother-in-law (we married Nakamura sisters).
Campaign Coordinator: Sarah Kaopuiki (coordinator@edcase.com)
Sarah grew up on Lanai and graduated from Kamehameha Schools, Stanford and UH/Richardson Law School. She interned in my DC congressional office and later worked as staff to the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.
East Hawaii Coordinator: Jan Higashi (easthawaii@edcase.com)
Jan grew up in Paauilo on the Big Island, owned and operated small businesses in Hilo with her husband, Roland, and has served her community as a selfless and tireless volunteer. She was also my East Hawaii congressional coordinator.
West Hawaii Coordinator: Pat Stolfa (westhawaii@edcase.com)
Pat grew up in Iowa and worked for our federal government in DC for 30 years, first for the Office of Economic Opportunity and then for the Department of Agriculture. She and her husband, John, “retired” to Kona in ’01, where she’s worked on many campaigns and serves on the Democratic Party of Hawaii state central committee.
Maui Coordinator: Caleb Rowe (maui@edcase.com)
Caleb grew up on Maui and graduated from UC/Berkeley, where he swam for our national team. He interned in my DC congressional office and returned to work as my legislative assistant before graduating from UC/Hastings Law School and coming home to Maui.
Lanai Coordinator: Letty Castillo (lanai@edcase.com)
Letty grew up in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, and emigrated to Lanai in 1966. She retired from a full career at Lanai Community Hospital, where she also served as HGEA shop steward. She remains involved in many Lanai community efforts and in her church, Sacred Hearts Lanai.
Molokai Coordinator: Bobby Ribao (molokai@edcase.com)
Bobby grew up on Maui and served with the Maui Police Department for 30 years, including three assignments on Molokai. He retired at the rank of lieutenant to Molokai, where his wife, Jean, is from.
Oahu Coordinator: Ed Hasegawa (oahu@edcase.com)
Ed grew up in Kukuihaele on the Big Island, served in the Army and worked with the Hawaii Department of Education for forty years as a teacher, vice principal, principal and administrator. He’s been active in the Democratic Party of Hawaii for decades, including currently on the state central committee, and with the HGEA/Retirees, and has been involved in almost as many if not more campaigns as Lloyd.
Kauai Coordinators: Dean Toyofuku and Louie Abrams (kauai@edcase.com)
These are two halves of our inseparable Kauai team. Dean grew up on Kauai, where he first went door-to-door at age seven for his legendary father, Sen. George Toyofuku. He and his wife, Geri, own and run Mokihana Insurance, and Dean served as my Kauai congressional coordinator. Louie grew up on Maui, was Audrey’s and my high school classmate on the Big Island, and has lived on Kauai for 30 years, where he and his wife, Charlee, own and run Charlee & Assoc/Garden Island Rentals.
