The Big Island gets a dusting of snow on Mauna Kea

A time-lapse video of the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope shows a dusting of snow falling upon Mauna Kea Thursday morning (Sept 15).

Keck Observatory engineer Andrew Cooper noted that snow began falling on the summit Wednesday afternoon (Sept 14).
