Water service shutdown on Kawaihae Road rescheduled for Wednesday night, Sept. 14, 2011 – also one lane closure of road for several hours

Water shut down to complete connection of the new DHHL Lalamilo Reservoir Tank to the system has been rescheduled — from 9/8 to Wed., 9/14, from about 10 p.m. until about 1 a.m.

Similar shutdowns related to this project have resulted in minimal disruption. Will also require one-lane closure of Kawaihae Road from about 6:30 p.m. on 9/14 to excavate and expose water main, then cover back up w/ temporary steel plate; will come back about noon on Thurs., 9/15 to remove steel plate and put asphalt patch.

Pau by late afternoon. Shutdown coordinated with HPA and other customers, hence decision to do it at night.
