The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the High Surf Advisory for South facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands until 6 p.m. Sunday (Sept 11).
Surf is forecast to be five to eight feet in height. Beachgoers should use caution due to dangerous rip currents caused by the high surf.
Surfers can expect a bump in surf Monday night and Tuesday due to a developing storm about 1,200 miles North Northeast of the Big Island. The swell is forecast to be below advisory levels when it arrives.
