MEDIA RELEASE

Hawaii Fireplaces celebrates its grand opening 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at 64-1035 Mamalahoa Highway in the Uilani Plaza next to HPM.

The festivities begin at 10 a.m. with showroom tours and refreshments. Live music starts at 10:30 a.m. and hot dogs and cotton candy will be served 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Pastor Sonny from the New Hope Fellowship will give the blessing at noon, and there will be plenty of prizes and Kumu Lona Warner with members of the Halau Makanani will dance shortly after the blessing.

Along with sales and service of fireplaces and stoves, Hawaii Fireplaces renovates existing natural stone fireplaces. The company renovated fireplaces at local ranches including Kealakekua Ranch whose fireplaces date back to the early 1900’s. Once fireplaces are renovated their performance is enhanced and safety issues are prevented.

Hawaii Fireplaces is also the only store in the state that builds custom fireplaces. Additionally, it provide services to other islands offering natural stone choices plus custom mantels in a variety of material. Wood mantels are carved by Craig Nichols, a local award-winning carver.

Hawaii Fireplaces, a division of Hawaii Air Conditioning, is family-owned and operated with more than 58 years of combined industry experience. Responding to the local demand for a full-service fireplace store, Hawaii Fireplaces is the only store in the State of Hawaii that sales, services, installs and maintains fireplaces and stoves.

Hawaii Fireplaces is excited to offer customers the benefit of being full-service. Customers have a showroom to visit where they can purchase their equipment, have it installed and maintained by one organization plus have their chimney swept.
