Cline appointed VP – Sales and Alliances

Hawaiian Airlines has announced the appointment of Monisa Cline to the newly created position of vice president – sales and alliances.

In keeping with the company’s plans for future growth, Hawaiian dedicated this executive-level position to expand its revenue base by increasing sales partnerships with corporate, leisure, community and travel trade clients and key distributors in markets systemwide. Cline will also oversee the reservations call center.

She reports to Glenn Taniguchi, senior vice president of marketing and sales.

“Monisa brings us the kind of proven, experienced leadership we need in establishing profitable business relationships and sales alliances in new markets,” said Taniguchi. “She has an impressive record of success that will serve us well in the coming years as we welcome more new aircraft into the fleet and expand our service.”

Cline joins Hawaiian after 24 years at Continental Airlines in which she held senior sales positions with responsibility overseeing markets nationally and internationally. Since 2005, she served as staff vice president of North America sales and was charged with leading a team of 160 sales professionals in the U.S. and Canada.

Highlighted among her career accomplishments were being honored as “Allied Member of the Year” by the Global Business Travel Association, and serving as president of the Continental
Management Association.

Cline is an alumnus of the University of Florida, graduating from the College of Business Administration with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing.
