High surf advisory for East facing shores through Saturday (Aug 6)

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf advisory for East facing shores of all islands through 6 p.m. Saturday (August 6).

Surf is forecast to be in the five to eight foot range. The high surf will produce hazardous rip currents, beach erosion and dangerous conditions along the shoreline.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all Hawaiian waters due to strong trade winds until 6 p.m. Saturday.
