A High Surf Advisory for the Big Island issued by the National Weather Service in Honolulu continues through 6 p.m. Saturday (July 9). Surf along South facing shores are forecast to be six to 10 feet today decreasing to five to eight feet Saturday. East facing shore will see rough surf of five to eight feet through Saturday.
Beachgoers should use caution due to hazardous rip currents and beach erosion due to high surf.
A Small Craft Advisory is also in effect for all Hawaiian waters until 6 p.m. Saturday.
