Henry Street to be closed for two weeks starting Monday (June 20)

MEDIA RELEASE

As part of the ongoing Palani Road widening project, underground utility lines will be installed at several locations across Palani Rd at the Henry Street intersection. Two lanes one in each direction on Palani Road will remain open.

Excavation work will continue on Palani Road to the intersection at Queen Kaahumanu Highway. The utility work is expected to continue until September in preparation for resurfacing.

For the current portion of the work, Henry Street at the Palani Road intersection will be closed in both directions starting June, 20 for a period of approximately 2 weeks. Completion for this part of the project is scheduled for second or third week of July. Crews will be working in the area from 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. weekdays, and traffic detours and delays should be anticipated. Motorists are asked to enter and exit Henry Street from Queen Ka‘ahumanu Hwy.
