The public is invited to a dedication and blessing of the newly renovated Pahoa Recycling and Transfer Station on Thursday, June 16, 2011.

The $3.9 million project is the model for a new generation of transfer stations in the County of Hawai’i, designed to serve the growing need for convenient and efficient waste management in our communities.

The Hawai`i County Department of Environmental Management, Fifth District Councilmember Fred Blas and the office of Mayor Billy Kenoi are co-sponsoring the event which will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the transfer station on Apa`a Road.
