Mauna Kea Resort is offering local junior golfers the opportunity to join the 2011 Mauna Kea Junior Golf Program.

Mauna Kea Junior Golf Program gives Big Island keiki the opportunity to play two of the premiere properties on the Kohala Coast at an unbelievable price.

Since 1964, the Golf Course at Mauna Kea has led the way in standards of course beauty and design, solidifying its place in Hawaii’s history as one of the most scenic and favored golf courses.

Avid golfers and guests of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel continue to enjoy Robert Trent Jones, Sr.’s award-winning golf course at the hotel and its recent updates and beautification by Rees Jones.

In 1997, the U.S. Golf Association named Hapuna “The Course of the Future.” This Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed 18-hole championship course is nestled into the dramatic natural contours of the land from the shoreline to about 700 feet above sea level.

The course features spectacular views of the Kohala Coast and the Pacific, with snow-capped Mauna Kea volcano as a backdrop.

Hapuna’s challenging play and environmental sensitivity make it one of Hawaii’s most unique golf courses.
