African safari to benefit Three Ring Ranch

A message from Three Ring Ranch:

For 20 years Kona resident and retired travel columnist Irene Croft Jr., has been orchestrating deluxe worldwide journeys for benefit of more than a dozen Hawaii non-profits, including Three Ring Ranch.

Her volunteer efforts have earned nearly $1 million for community organizations in our state. And, now, she has consented once again to offer an enticing journey as a fundraiser co-sponsored by 3RR.

Full exciting details of the safari to South Africa and Botswana will be available June 20. The 14-day trip starts in Johannesburg and takes you to places in a style truly never before done, including a surprise steam train ride along the way.

From South Africa to Zimbabwe, the route will take you on luxury safaris into the bush where you will see everything in style. Your accommodations are only the best with traditional 5 star resorts and tented camps selected by Irene and her African partner Ethne Cameron.

This trip is a 100 percent inclusive affair, including meals, tips, laundry and transportation. Airfare is included from Honolulu with a discount offered to travelers departing from the mainland or booking their own air transportation.

The total package is estimated to be $12,990.

Participation is open to all 3RR friends, Hawaii and mainland residents, and our organization will receive a $500 tax-deductible donation (included in fare) from each person who signs up and identifies3RR as the sponsoring organization.

The last benefit safari allowed us to complete the Hands-On Science Center, which is now utilized by students & keepers providing a place for scientific education and research. It is a facility like no other in the State and was only possible with your support.

The Three Ring Ranch continues to provide a lifetime home to exotic animals including zebra, bison, monkeys, antelope and many others. We are Hawaii’s only accredited sanctuary and rehabilitation facility run with 100 percent volunteer staff.

This is a win-win opportunity for the travelers among us — Irene’s exceptional journeys are always sold out — and for 3RR.
