Latino Festival at Hale Halawai (May 14)

The Organization of Latin Americans in Hawaii, Inc. (OLAH) will host a day of celebration of Latino community noon-7 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Hale Halawai Park, Kailua Kona Village.

The event will celebrate the Latino culture with music, dancing, food and activities for children. Admission is free.

This weekend day event will be packed with free entertainment includes performances by Grupo’s Estimados, Salsa Latinos, Escandalo, and Puerto Rican Rhythms.

The Carmalitas, Paloteos and the Los Viejitos will also present a colorful dance program from the Latin American countries.

The revelry of this exciting weekend day continues with other activities, events, and delicious food for sale through out Saturday. Latino Festival commemorates Latino pride, unity and patriotism.

It is a Festive day not only for the Latino community but for everyone in West Hawaii.

A presentation from Leonardo Fraga, President of Organization of Latin Americans in Hawaii will kick-off the festivities at noon on the Hale Halawai stage. The event proceeds benefit the OLAH Scholarship fund.
