Winter Weather Advisory still in effect for Big Island summits

The National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory continues for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa where freezing temperatures are bringing fog, sleet and snow to the area. The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. tonight.

The Mauna Kea Access road is closed as of 1:15 p.m. due to snow on the roadway.
