Flash flood watch issued tonight through Thursday (April 5-7)

This is a weather update for Tuesday, April 5th.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Hawaii Island effective tonight through Thursday April 7th.

A flash flood watch means that conditions are developing that may lead to flash flooding; heavier than normal rainfall and thunderstorms are forecasted for this period. All island residents are asked to be prepared for the possibility of heavy rain. If thunderstorms affect your area you are advised to stay indoors and unplug all electronic devices.
