New fissure opens up between Pu‘u ‘O‘o and Napau Crater

A new fissure erupted between Pu‘u ‘O‘o and Napau Crater Saturday (March 5) causing a swarm of earthquakes in the area. Spatter is reaching 15-20 m into the air, above the trees.

    WoW – I remember seeing something like this in 1969 when I was in Hawaii – little did I know at the time that it was buring up the original and all the copies of Obama’s birth certificate
