Pahoa Solid Waste Transfer Station closed (March 8-10)

MEDIA RELEASE

The Pahoa Solid Waste Transfer Station is scheduled to be closed for construction Tuesday, March 8 through Thursday, March 10.

The transfer station is scheduled to reopen on Friday, March 11.

The construction project, budgeted at $3,907,000, is on schedule for completion by mid April 2011.

During this temporary closure period, residents are encouraged to utilize the Keaau and Kalapana Transfer Stations.
