Puna man reported missing since Thursday (Feb 17)

Big Island police are looking for a 33-year-old Puna man who was reported missing.

Jose Antonio Flores Jr. was last heard from by a relative at about 11:00 pm on February 17, 2011 and was reportedly returning from the Ka‘u District however he failed to return home and has not been heard from since.

Flores Jr. is described as a Hispanic male, about 6’ tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with brown eyes and normally wears his hair neatly shaved. He also sports a dark goatee. He was last seen wearing a light colored tank top and dark jeans shorts. He has several tattoos, including flames on the left neck area, skulls on both upper arms and his upper left chest, as well as tattoos on his knuckles. He also wears a brace on his right foot.

He was last seen operating a white 1996 Chevy Suburban SUV bearing State of Hawaii license plate #VC2770.

Flores Jr. has a medical condition that requires medication.

Police are asking that anyone with information regarding this investigation to call Detective John Rodrigues Jr. at (808) 961-2382. Callers who wish to remain anonymous are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300 in Hilo or (808) 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
