MEDIA RELEASE

The Surf to Art surfboard collection is an new art concept created by Janet and Charles Lipps of Holualoa.

Each surfboard began its life as a classic Hawaiian board from the modern era, but has been transformed into a one of a kind work of art by the addition of exotic hardwood veneer and polished stone mosaic work.

Many feature hand-painted designs with Hawaiian motifs, and some even include semi-precious stone accents. Every board is unique.

Although the finish and character of the surfboard are radically transformed in the process of turning them into works of art, respect is always given to the shape and design of the original board.

Custom designs or commissions are accepted, and all boards are supplied with mounting hardware.

Available online or exclusively at Pacific Islands Gallery – 75-5933 Mamalahoa Highway, Holualoa, Hawaii 96725 – 808.324.7866.
