Hospice of Hilo Have a Heart Zumba at Sangha Hall

A “Have A Heart Zumba Fundraiser” at Sangha Hall, is being hosted by East Hawaii’s faith community, on Saturday, February 12, 2011, 8 am to 1 pm to benefit the Hospice of Hilo capital campaign.

There will be three Zumba classes along with food concessions for a day of healthy fun and ono food.

Hospice of Hilo is building Hawaii Island’s first inpatient hospice home in Hilo. The new facility will provide services for patients who cannot be cared for at home, or do not have family to provide healthcare. The $10 million project has received substantial support from government and seeks to raise the remainder of the funding needed from private funding sources and the community.

Participants can party into shape with instructors: Cheryl Cobile, T’Jaye and Dawnelle Forsythe. Doors open at 8:00am with a demo from 9:00am to 9:15am. Zumbatomic, for kids ages 4 to 12, from 9:30am to 10:00am. A latin-inspired Zumba, Zumba Gold, will be held from 10:15am to 10:45am; and Zumba from 11:00am to noon.

Concessions will include Hawaiian Plate, Squid Luau, Poi, Hot Dogs, Chili, Maki Sushi, Homemade Portuguese Sausage, homemade baked goods including manju, and drinks.

Tickets are on sale for $10 at Hospice of Hilo. Children 12 and under are free. Proceeds will be donated to the Hospice of Hilo.
