MEDIA RELEASE

The Parker School eighth grade has undertaken a mission of the heart. They were invited to join this project by singer Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows and comedians Robert Klein and Jeffrey Ross who are currently entertaining injured troops at the Frankfurt, Germany Army Hospital.

Rocky Sperling’s class is supporting the Landstuhl Hospital Care Project (LHCP) in their efforts to provide care, comfort and support for the injured and their families during their often long hospitalization and rehabilitation process.

Flip flops are one of the most requested items from military hospitals. They are very comfortable and easy to wear for convalescing troops, and also used as shower shoes.

Bring new slippers to the school during the next Open House 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5. Slippers will be collected through Feb. 16, at which point they will be packaged for shipment and distributed by the entertainers in the name of the Parker School Ohana.
