Help sought locating missing man Hessler

Big Island police are renewing their request for information about a 54-year-old Hilo man who was reported missing.

Michael Hessler of Hilo was last seen Sept. 10 in the Kona area.

He is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-11, about 275 pounds with brown eyes and salt-and-pepper hair with a white beard and mustache.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call Detective Paul M. Fukuda at 961-2381 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 or 329-8181 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe.

Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
