The Big Island was spared much of the wet weather that swept across the northern islands during the last two days.
According to reports, Hawaiian Paradise Park suffered some power outages and a guava tree in Hilo was struck by lightning.
In Kona, a jet ski support barge usually anchored in Kailua Bay busted its mooring and ran aground about 9:30 a.m. Thursday outside Kona Inn. Damage appeared to be minimal.
Meanwhile, a winter weather advisory for the summits remains in effect until at least 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14.
And, according to the National Weather Service, the Big Island could see some more wintery weather toward the end of the weekend, when a front moving down the island chain Sunday and Monday brings showers and possible thunderstorms.
