Water interruption slated for Kona (Dec. 22)

WHEN: 4-5 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22

Affected Area: Along Palani Road from Henry Street/Palani Road intersection, down Alii Drive to Kailua Pier and to Kaiwi Street/Kuakini Highway intersection, up to Kaiwi Street/Queen Kaahumanu intersection, including all side streets and roads.

The department of Water Supply will be conducting a fire hydrant flow test at a hydrant along Palani Road on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 between the hours of 4:00 am to 5:00 am.

The affected area may experience slight discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.

Please pardon this temporary inconvenience. Should you experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, call Robert Ravenscraft, District Supervisor, at 322-0800.
