Kailua Kalikimaka kicks off holiday cheer Friday, Nov. 26 in Historic Kailua Village with free entertainment and festivities including the annual Christmas tree lighting at Emma’s Square on Alii Drive directly across from Hulihee Palace.

Join dignitaries along with Miss Kona Coffee and Miss Aloha Hawaii beginning at 5:30 p.m. for an evening to mark the beginning of Kailua Kalikimaka. Free entertainment will be followed by the holiday tree lighting at 6:15 p.m.

Mark your calendar for the Kona Christmas Parade at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, with pre-parade entertainment at 3:45 p.m. at Emma’s Square featuring Grayden Hai & the Tiki Dolls.

The monthly Kokua Kailua Village Stroll is 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12. As part of Kailua Kalikimaka, December’s Kokua Kailua will be highlighted by a special free concert.

Kailua Kalikimaka and Kokua Kailua are initiatives sponsored by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District (KVBID) to encourage residents to shop, dine and buy local.
