Green pens children’s book

Reporting by Finn Gallagher | Hawaii 24/7 Student Reporter

He’s the triple man. Josh Green is an emergency room doctor, a state senator and an author.

Green’s first book “The Idea Man” was launched at a recent Borders Books & Cafe signing session.

Although he started writing the book 13 years ago, Green said he only got it published this year.

It was a “rush” seeing a preview of the book, he said, and more exciting then the day he got elected, but less exciting the day his daughter was born.

Reading and writing skills didn’t just fall out of the sky. Green said his whole family has a love of great literature, and some of his favorite books as a child were a classic “James and the Giant Peach” and “The Hobbit.”

That’s where he got his inspiration for ‘The Idea Man.”

This amazing story is about two young boys who go on an adventure. Green said it is his way of explaining the philosophy of life.

At the Borders event, Green welcomed many readers and said he was happy so many people supported his book. He said he would consider writing more adventures of Boy and Plum.

I will read them all, because I think Josh Green is a very good writer.

His book is easy to read, has exciting adventures for the characters and would be good to read for your children. Go out and buy it!
