Carla Hannaford, PhD, biologist, author, and educator will present a program titled Smart Moves. If we didn’t move, we wouldn’t need a brain. Movement grows the brain beginning in utero and until the day we die. This experiential presentation will give participants valuable and simple tools to reduce stress and increase creativity, learning and remembrance for a lifetime.
Hannaford will present current scientific research around brain and heart function as well as addressing “learning difficulties” and the importance of music and play in keeping us healthy and growing.
Sponsored by Friends of the Libraries, Kona, this program for people of all ages is offered as a community service and is free to the public.
