With a collection of former NCAA Division I players opposing them, the University of Hawaii at Hilo was well tested but dropped the exhibition game 50-39 in the UHH gym.

“The defensive end was a big point of emphasis this past week and I think we showed a lot of improvement on that end,” said UHH Head Coach David Kaneshiro. “There are still some things we need to clean up. We are a lot better defensively than we were a week ago.”

Kirsty Imai led the Vulcans with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field and three 3-pointers beyond the men’s line.

Phylicia Schultz and Kristen Woodring provided the inside presence with seven and eight rebounds, respectively. Schultz also added eight points.

D.One was led by Kyla Evers with 13 points while former University of Hawaii player Nani Cockett added 12.
