5th Annual Moku O Keawe Hula Festival

Some of Hawaii’s best halau, groups and soloists, shine on the big stage at Waikoloa Bowl at Queens’ Gardens—to compete for top honors in ancient hula kahiko and modern hula ‘auana forms.

During the day in in-depth cultural workshops and excursions exploring the arts and protocols of authentic places, practices and musical instruments of Hawai‘i are being held. A made-in-Hawai‘i Marketplace and Sunday night Hō’ike finale starring workshop students and special appearance by Merrie Monarch winners O’Brien Eselu and the men of Ke Kai O Kahiki. The festival continues through Sunday (Nov 7).
