The Waiakea team of Luke Camarillo, Brandon Lau, Eric Kawahara and Richard Chun are coming home with the state championship in boys air riflery.

The Big Island landed three students in the top 15:
2. Eric Kawahara, Waiakea
8. Luke Camarillo, Waiakea
9. Cody Sugai, Konawaena
15. Brandon Lau, Waiakea

Over in the girls competition, Waiakea came in third. The team includes Leigh Williams, Qiana Hironaka, Megan Kimura and Kellia Iwasaki.

Although Sacred Hearts wrapped up the top three spots, three students earned places in the top 15:

5. Leigh Williams, Waiakea
9. Shaynee Shirai, Konawaena
15. Megan Kimura, Waiakea
