Early voting continues until Oct. 30

Absentee walk-in early voting for the 2010 General Election ends Friday, Oct. 29 for the Pahala, Waimea, and Kohala sites, and Saturday, Oct. 30 for the Hilo and Kona sites.

Permanent Absentee Mail-In Voting

Permanent absentee voting allows registered voters to receive their ballots by mail for future elections. In order to receive your absentee ballots permanently, you must follow the instructions and complete the Permanent Absentee Application correctly.

The deadline to turn in applications for the seasonal and permanent Absentee Mail Ballot for the 2010 General Election is Tuesday, Oct. 26.

You may request an application from the Hilo office by calling 961-8277, from the Kona office by calling 327-3633, or by filling out the application from the links listed below.

Applications must be brought in person or postmarked no later than 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 26.

You will remain on the list of Permanent Absentee Voters unless you fail to return a voter ballot by 6 p.m. election day in both the primary and general election, register to vote in another jurisdiction, or fail to keep your voter registration updated.

In order to receive an absentee ballot, you must be registered to vote.
