All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. and Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. have announced that the two carriers signed an agreement to establish a commercial partnership.
Shinichiro Ito, President and CEO of ANA, and Mark Dunkerley, President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, met in Tokyo yesterday to sign the Letter of Agreement, and agreed to explore bilateral cooperation in areas such as code-sharing, frequent flyer programs, and cargo subject to necessary government approvals.
Both airlines will start discussing the details of cooperation hereafter.
As previously announced, ANA will start its service connecting Tokyo’s brand new International terminal of Haneda International Airport and Honolulu from Oct. 31, 2010, while Hawaiian Airlines will launch its first scheduled operations to Japan, between Honolulu and Haneda on Nov. 17, 2010.
The cooperation of ANA and Hawaiian will benefit customers of both airlines by providing them with greater choice and flexibility.

Established in 1952, ANA is a leading Japanese provider of air transportation services, carrying almost 50 million passengers every year to 50 destinations in Japan and 27 cities throughout Asia, Europe and the US on its fleet of 222 aircraft.
It is the 10th largest airline in the world by passenger load, according to IATA rankings and the largest domestic carrier in Japan.
ANA has won awards in all categories for its products and services and was voted Airline of the Year for 2007 by Air Transport World Magazines.
ANA is the launch customer of Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Mitsubishi Regional Jet , and joined the Star Alliance in 1999 and celebrated its 10th year Star Alliance membership in October 2009.
