Kona Stories schedule of events (Oct. 1-13)

* Angel Reading with Elena
Date: 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday Oct. 1
Where: Kona Stories Book Shop Lanai
Come and hear what your angels have to say to you. Angels are powerful, wise and loving guides who can motivate and heal you in many ways. Elena, an “Angel Reading Practitioner”, is a clairvoyant intuitive who will help you in giving a clear direction and tools in your spiritual journey. She is an Advanced Certified Angel therapist by Doreen Virtue. Readings will typically be 15 minutes for $20.

* Feng Shui & Gardening
Taught by Author of “Feng Shui for Hawaii”, Clear Englebert
Date: 1-4 p.m., Saturday Oct. 2
Where: Kona Stories Ohana Room
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of home and furniture placement to maximize health, harmony and prosperity. The class shows how Feng Shui principles can be applied to the tropical garden and the unique Hawaii landscape. In Feng Shui the garden is seen as the first chance to invite good energy (chi or ki) and the best opportunity to deflect harsh energy. Tropics include landform, pathways, and water features as well as ornaments and the relation of garden to home. Class Fee is $25. Call to sign-up.

* Sustainable Aloha Group
Date: 6 p.m., Oct. 5
Where: Kona Stories Ohana Room
Sustainable Aloha is hosted by Kona Stories and Divine Goods. This meeting, open to the public, is a time when the community comes together to discuss issues like alternative fuel, sustainability, community gardens or watches a documentary film. * Qi Gong Practice Group
Date: 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6
Where: Kona Stories Ohana Room
Qigong is an integration of postures, breathing, and focused intentions. This is a practice group with minimal instruction. Everyone is welcome and this group is Free. This class meets at Kona Stories in the Ohana Room.

* Stein on Writing Group
Date: 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7
Where: Kona Stories Ohana Room
This tightly focused group, moderated by writing enthusiast Bill McCowatt, will meet every Thursday at 6 p.m. for 12 weeks to listen and learn from the audio-book “Stein on Writing”. * Sacred Geometry Mini-Workshop with Francene Hart
Date: 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9
Where: Kona Stories Ohana Room
Join us on an adventure into Sacred Geometry, Art and Spirit through fun hands on exploration. We will explore how spirals inform the cosmos and use the Fibonacci numbers associated with the mystical Phi to create our own Golden Spiral drawings. This class is facilitated by Francene Hart, visionary artist and author of the “Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck” and “Sacred Geometry Cards for the Visionary Path”. No math or art experience needed. Bring a decent compass if you have one. All materials included. Class size is limited. $35.

* 2nd Tuesday Fiction Book Club
Date: 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 12
Where: Kona Stories Book Shop Lanai
