Vulcan’s Cabico fourth at WWU/Viking Invitational

Neil Cabico turned in his second sub-par round to finish in fourth place at the Western Washington/Viking Invitational at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club (WA).

After firing a final round 4-under-par 68, Cabico finished at 6-under-par 210 (69-73-68).

His scores helped propel the Vulcans into fifth place in the tight team race. Chico State won the tournament with an 865. Tied in second place at 866 were Western Washington and Cal State Monterey Bay. Alone in fourth place was Sonoma State (867) followed by UH Hilo (869), Dixie State (872), Grand Canyon (877), Cal State East Bay (879), St. Martin’s (880), Cal State Stanislaus (882), UC San Diego (891), Academy of Art (897), Montana State Billings (919), Northwest Nazarene (923) and Simon Fraser (925).

Also representing the Vulcans were Blake Snyder (21st, 75-69-74=218), Travis Russell (T22, 77-70=219), Christopher Armanini (T37, 74-75-77=223) and Corey Kozuma (T41, 75-74-74=224).
