Old Puako Road clean up (Sept. 29)

The Puako Community Association and Friends announce The Old Puako Road Cleanup at Pole 75.

Meet: 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Pole 75 on Old Puako Road

Edwin De Luz Trucking will donate two dump trucks & drivers who will take illegally dumped rubbish away from the Pole 75 dump site on Old Puako Road.

Goodfellow Brothers will donate manpower & equipment to load rubbish into the dump trucks. Spearheaded by Dan Goodfellow of Goodfellow Brothers on Maui, Ed Brown of Kamuela branch of GB and Jan Dipatan with Keep Hawaii Islands Beautiful on Maui.

The Puako Community Association & Friends will provide volunteer workers for ground support, traffic control, water & drinks.

Mayors Office provided waivers for the Puuananhulu Landfill. Solid waste Chief Mike Dworsky helps organize waste delivery sites.

The DLNR Parks management at Hapuna State Park will be on site to assist with this clean-up.

Paul Buklarewicz at Keep Hawaii Beautiful organized the waivers & solid waste disposal with the County of Hawaii.

Keep Hawaii Beautiful a not profit 501C3 provides charity donation slips to vendors for their contributions.

New barriers to close off dump sites on Old Puako Road will come from the harvested Puako fire break trees.

Supporters of this Puako Community Association & Friends Clean-up include: Edwin De Luz Trucking, Goodfellow Brothers Construction, DLNR & The Hapuna State Park, Puako Community Association, County of Hawaii Mayors office and Solid Waste Department, Keep Hawaii Beautiful, Keep Hawaii Islands Beautiful.
