Structure fire in Mountain View engulfs warehouse Thursday (Sept 23)

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 7:40 p.m. alarm Thursday (Sept 23) for a structure fire in Volcano.

Crews found a large single story metal farm warehouse engulfed in flames. Three engine units, a tanker and medic worked the scene as fire crews were advised that pesticides, fertilizers and fuel were also stored in the building. It took firefighters 11 minutes to get the fire under control after arriving and it was declared out at 8:36 p.m.

There were no injuries reported on scene. The loss to the structure and contents of the warehouse is estimated to be $56,000. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
