Peterson named AAA Hawaii regional manager

MEDIA RELEASE

Diane R. Peterson has been named the new Regional Manager of AAA Hawaii, returning to the islands where she spent part of her professional career. She succeeds Richard Velazquez who retired earlier this year.

Peterson started her AAA career four years ago with the Automobile Club of Southern California as manager of its Arcadia branch. She was also a board of director for two terms in the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce where she served on the Government Affairs Committee.

Prior to working for the Auto Club, Peterson worked as vice-president of Hasco International, a company that served hospital-based marketing, volunteer and nursing programs, including newborn and premature infant services.

Her responsibilities extended to all of North America, with particular focus on the U.S., including Hawaii, Guam and Canada.

Peterson also worked in progressively responsible positions with Avon Products, Inc., where she was overseeing a team of managers and sales representatives serving the Hawaiian Islands and Guam.

Among her duties were hiring and training as well as developing community events, business expos and recognition programs for the Avon sales force. Peterson holds a master’s in business administration from Pepperdine University, in Malibu, Calif.

“I’m so happy to be back in the islands. I’m looking forward to supporting all the communities of Hawaii, as well as the travel and tourism industries,” said Peterson. “My previous positions were customer-service focused and already I feel very at home at AAA Hawaii supporting our members.”

The office provides travel services, insurance, including auto, home, and life, financial services and AAA memberships.
