Dig in! Slow Food community school garden workday (Sept. 25)


Slow Food Chapters across the nation are reaching out to communities to get some work done! This volunteer workday and potluck is 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, helps to support Hawaii Island school gardens.

Bring gardening gloves, clippers, a potluck dish, and your own plates, napkins, and utensils.

* The Malaai Culinary Garden of the Waimea Middle School, Amanda Rieux,
* Kealakehe High School, Donna Sonnenberg,
* Kona Pacific Public Charter School, Barrow Hutchison,
* Kohala Elementary School, Koh Ming Wei,
* Innovations Public Charter School in Kona, Krista Donaldson,
