* A person is interested in pursuing a career as a Gyrokinesis instructor.
* A person is already a Certified Gyrokinesis Instructor – Holte can conduct the the required “Update Courses.â€
Holte also offers on-going classes for all persons interested in experiencing the benefits of Gyrokinesis exercises, which are a component of the three dimensional Gyrotonic Expansion System.
The Gyrotonic Expansion System is an exercise modality that guides users to simultaneously stretch and strengthen muscles and tendons while also articulating and mobilizing the joints. Corresponding breathing patterns are engaged during the performance of the exercises, thereby increasing coordination, endurance and aerobic activity.
Gyrokinesis exercises allow one to work on the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, left side, right side, left twist, right twist and circular, as well as all other joint articulation. This approach systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating movements.
These movements stimulate the body’s internal organs while different corresponding breathing patterns are integrated along with the movements.
Some of the benefits of Gyrokinesis exercises include:
* Articulates the spine and develops greater mobility in the joints
* Strengthens and tones the abdominal muscles
* Elongates the musculature and shapes the body
* Improves balance, coordination, and neuromuscular control
* Increases stamina with minimal impact to the joints
* Opens up energy centers and relieves energetic stagnation
* An invigorating and pain free workout
* Meditative, calming and stress-reducing
Ongoing Gyrokinesis Classes are taught at the Kohala Sports Club and Spa, West Hawaii Dance Theatre, and privately by request.
