Triathletes partner with Mauna Lani Bay Hotel

Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows have announced a partnership with world-champion triathletes that will call the luxury resort their Hawaii home and training base for the many elite endurance events they compete in on Hawaii Island.

Tim DeBoom from Colorado, Matt Lieto from Oregon, John Flanagan from Oahu, Belinda Granger from Australia and Luke Bell also from Australia will comprise Team Mauna Lani. Also using Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows as their training base are Big Island triathletes, Penn Henderson and Bree Wee.

Mauna Lani is welcoming beginner and amateur endurance athletes to its resort too with the launch of the new Iron-Fit Package proving access to the same leading-edge facilities and superior location that the champion athletes will be enjoying.

General Manager of Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, Brian Butterworth, said that “we are inspired by each athlete’s commitment and passion for competing at the elite level and are very excited to be part of their journey. We hope Team Mauna Lani will encourage more people to take up endurance sports and train in one of the best locations in the world.”

Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows new Iron-Fit package includes daily tri-road bicycle use, a daily personal trainer and daily sports massage. Guests will have access to Mauna Lani’s world-class fitness center and 25 meter lap pool, the private secluded beach for ocean swimming and nearby wide-open roads for cycling and altitude training.
