Fallen tree takes out power in Hawaiian Paradise Park Monday (Aug 9)

UPDATED 11:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9

HELCO crews and supervisors remain on the scene after a tree fell across power lines at Paradise Drive and 18th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

Power went out about 10 p.m. A HELCO spokeswoman said crews are switching lines around in an attempt to restore power to some customers.

It is not clear how many customers the outage might have affected.

UPDATED: Power was restored at about 1 a.m.
