Free admission for students to Orchestra of the Hawaiian Islands Concert Saturday (Aug 7)

All students will be admitted free to “Pacific Moon Under the Stars,” the next concert by the Orchestra of the Hawaiian Islands, Saturday, August 7, 6 pm, at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Kamehameha Court. Conductors Philip Simmons and Hiroaki Ueba will lead members of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra in a world music program with works by Queen Lili’uokalani, Yasushi Akutagawa, Edvard Grieg, Antonio Vivaldi, and popular selections by American composers George Gershwin, Leroy Anderson, John Williams, and Harold Arlen.

Tickets for adults are $35 and are available at Kona Wine Market, The Great 4-D Movie Ride (Shops at Mauna Lani), Bike Works Beach ‘n Sport (Queens’ MarketPlace), Big Island Surf (Waimea), and on line at www.americanmusicfestivals.com. Call 808-315-0885 for more information.
