Kailua Village Business Improvement District is launching Kau Kau Kailua Restaurant Week Sept. 19-25.

During this traditionally slow season, locals and visitors are encouraged to dine out in historic Kailua Village where participating restaurants are already working to create fabulous 3-course dinner menus for $20, $30 or $40 per person (tax, beverages and gratuity not included).

The concept of Kau Kau Kailua has proven successful in hundreds of cities across the country and with everyone’s support, it will prove equally successful here, according to KVBID officials.

The week will kick off Sunday, Sept. 19 with the monthly Kokua Kailua Village Stroll with special headline entertainment by 2010 multi-Na Hokuhanohano award winner Anuhea.
