With less than two years in business, Ke Ola has doubled in size, becoming a 64-page, perfect-bound publication. The publishers anticipate another substantial increase in pages with the September/October issue.

Ke Ola contains a minimum of 50-60 percent editorial content, so as the advertiser base grows, so too will the number of stories. Ke Ola is the only Big Island magazine produced by isle residents that is dedicated to people who live here full-time, part-time or visit frequently.

Printed every two months, Ke Ola, meaning “the life,” focuses on local art, lifestyle, history and culture captured by Big Island writers, photographers and illustrators.

The complimentary publication is available islandwide in magazine racks and places of business, plus is distributed free at numerous community events. Subscribers are the first to receive each issue by first class mail, past issues are archived on the website.

Ke Ola magazine is printed on recycled paper with soy-based ink and is a member of the Kuleana Green Business Program of the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce. Other active memberships include the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce.
