In first half of 2010, Lingle pardoned 11

MEDIA RELEASE

Gov. Linda Lingle has granted pardons to 11 individuals in the first six months of this year, in accordance with the power vested in her by the Hawaii State Constitution (Article V, Section 5).

“I have carefully reviewed each individual’s pardon request, which was also thoroughly reviewed by the Department of Public Safety, the Hawaii Paroling Authority and the Attorney General’s Office,” Lingle said. “The individuals broke the law, but they have served their sentences, kept their records clean and have proven that they are now leading law-abiding lives in the community.”
