Opihi picker rescued at Kings Landing Sunday (July 4)

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 6:21 p.m. alarm Sunday (July 4) for an opihi picker who was swept into the ocean at Kings Landing in Hilo.

The Fire Department’s Chopper One used a Billy Pugh net to rescue the victim from the ocean onto the shore. The opihi picker was uninjured.
