Hawaii Community FCU earns national award

MEDIA RELEASE

Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union is the recipient of the Raddon Financial Group’s Crystl Performance Award – an award presented to top ranked credit unions in the United States.

Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union was one of 416 credit unions evaluated across the nation and was ranked in the top 10 among credit unions in its asset class. It will be one of 10 credit unions with assets below $500 million to be recognized for achieving the highest performance during 2009.

Raddon Financial Group, a strategic business organization, provides research-based solutions for financial institutions. Raddon is an industry leader that focuses on helping financial institutions manage their product penetration through customer relationships and whose financial analysis compares a credit union’s results with other credit unions regionally and nationally.

These comparisons are valuable benchmarks to help credit unions gauge their overall performance. Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union has worked with Raddon since 2001, and has seen marked improvement in member participation and earnings.

As a contender for the Crystal Performance Award, Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union was measured by Raddon using its RFG Performance Index, a balanced scorecard measurement of growth, income, efficiency and margin management.

Raddon’s in-depth analysis reviewed the organization’s financials, sales, products and product penetration to determine Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union’s top-ranking status.

“Earning this award showcases our organization’s commitment to our members as well as our community, especially during these difficult economic times,” said Rodney Watanabe, executive vice president of member services, Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union.

Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union will receive its award in August at Raddon Financial Group’s CEO Forum in Colorado Springs, Colo.
