Refresh Everything: Curtains for Waikoloa School

MEDIA RELEASE

Pepsi is giving away $1.3 million per month, and Waikoloa School’s “Give a little Aloha” project is one of the ideas in the running for $50,000 until June 30.

Called “Refresh Everything,” the competition awards cash to the top 10 proposals in the $5,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $250,000 levels, and requires no cash donation to participate. After setting up a quick account, supporters can vote every day for up to 10 ideas.

Waikoloa School’s idea is one of 7 based in Hawaii in the current round. Others include Mililani High School Video Game Club, currently at No. 3 nationwide in the $5,000 level, and a digital literacy project for kids in Kealakekua, No. 84 at the $25,000 level.

Waikoloa School, which turned 16 this year and graduated its first eighth grade class, plans to use the money to replace worn curtains for the active cafeteria stage.
