Sheraton menus interspersed with farmers market finds

MEDIA RELEASE

Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa Executive Chef Eric Lelinski recently updated the Big Island resort’s popular Dining Under the Stars menus to increase use of fresh finds from the Keauhou Farmers Market held each Wednesday at the resort and each Saturday at nearby Keauhou Shopping Center.

Couples celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a romantic, torch-lit, private oceanside dinner at the resort have four Dining Under the Stars menus to choose from.

Kohala Field Greens, garnishes of Island-grown basil, Pahole Ferns, Hamakua Springs tomatoes and Hamakua mushrooms join Kona-style Ahi and island-fresh mahi mahi interspersed in the delicious prix-fixe menus. Dessert selections continue the island themes with choices of Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Tropical Cheesecake and Chocolate Lava Cake, depending on the menu selected.

“I have worked with my staff over the past few months to develop these new menus so that we could provide our guests a memorable meal that would be unique, absolutely delicious and include a high percentage of locally-sourced ingredients,” Lelinski said. “I believe we’ve achieved our goals and the feedback has been extremely positive.”

Dining Under the Stars menus are priced between $117 and $197 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity. Book Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa’s “Explore Hawaii” package and apply a portion of the $500 resort credit to a Dining Under the Stars evening.

Book online at www.SheratonKeauhou.com/specials or call 866-716-8140 and request rate plan LCPKG1 by Sept. 30 for travel through Jan. 7, 2011.
